Real Estate Investing 101
The investor market in Richmond is HOT approaching the end of 2022 and I thought I would take a few minutes to talk about how you can get in on it too!
I generally prefer low-risk wealth building strategies and real estate remains one of the most secure and lucrative ways to succeed with investing. First of all, if you are a homeowner, you have already taken the first step because you are a real estate investor! The equity that you are building over time will only grow as you live in the home due to increased home values and paying off your mortgage.
In addition to owning your own home, you can invest in "fix and flip" or "buy and hold" properties and very often, clients that I work with employ both of these strategies simultaneously. I work closely with my investors to provide cost analysis information such as estimates of renovations that are needed to sell at top dollar and expected rental income from a particular property if they choose to buy and hold.
Here are two articles that I think break down popular real estate investment options pretty simply and can give you an idea of how to start thinking toward investing in real estate. I am always here to help!
